Doylisms – Cohibas and Lattes

The Doylism which sparked it all of:

“I will not do your  work while you (Milani) sit in your office in Fort Lauderdale smoking Cohiba cigars and drinking lattes.”

Here is a quote of Doyle, the mother did not allow overnight visits of her son with the grandparents because of alcoholism and marijuana use by the grandparents. Doyle’s reply was to recall his fondness for his own grandparents and to recall the days that his grandfather took him to “saloons” ?

1 THE COURT: As I told you before, the best

2 memory of my childhood is my grandfather, who died

3 in 1956, I went crabbing with him, I went to

4 saloons with him, it was a fond memory and it

5 concerns me that someone would want to limit

    6 contact between a grandchild and grandparent…

Here’s another Doylism- this was in response to the mother explaining that the father of the child was smoking in the house around the child who has asthma and is treated with a nebulizer!

8 THE COURT: She married a smoker. It’s like

9 you married a drunk, you complain about him

    10 drinking. No big deal.
